Solomon is quick to establish his Kingdom
And God grants his Wish of great Wisdom
God gave him riches and honor above all others
Solomon goes about to build the Temple
With thousands of men working with him

The Temple was soon finished and things all in it
And the cloud of God’s presence was within it
Solomon’s prayer of dedication was solemnly made
And the people responded with great praise

The Queen of Sheba heard of his great fame
After visiting said, “The half has never been named”
The dividing ofthe Kingdom is now repeated
10 of the 12 tribes are now leaving

Solomon now passes away
And is buried along side his fathers grave
The history of Judah continues in detail
The “ups and downs” seem never to fail

Finally by Babylon, Jerusalem is destroyed
All these details are recorded in God’s Word
