Jesus was bom in the town of Bethlehem
Wise men from the East came seeking Him.
They first inquired of Him in Jerusalem,
Saying, they came all the way to worship Him

They called Him the “King of the Jews”
When King Herod heard he “blew a fuse”
He ordered the wise men to report to him
After they found and had visited Him.

The Jews said the Prophet said Bethlehem
They found Him and explained what they wanted with Him
They presented Him with gold, frankmcense and myrrh,
Gifts that a King would richly deserve.

God told the wise men to avoid King Herod

To return another way and be hurried
Joseph and family were told, flee to Egypt
For Herod was mad and they needed to escape.

Again a prophecy of the Jews Matthew cited
That Herod would refuse to be quieted.
Herod ordered all children under two to he killed
When it was over Jesus returned to Nazareth to live.
