Certain Holidays and Celebrations, as observed by Denominational Groups and Churches, have their origin in Paganism.  This is especially true of Christmas and Easter.   Please note that Easter does not appear in the original Greek.  We cannot give support to such events and include certain illustrations only as an example and aid to help in Sermon Preparation. They are included on this website not because we think they are scriptural, but to help preachers and teachers as they prepare their lessons.  The Washington Street Church of Christ cannot and will not endorse any material that is contrary to the Scriptures.....
