Babylon now in the hands of the Persian scene
King Cyrus and Daniel have become friends
And Cyrus had become aware of the Lord
Who proclaimed the Lord author of his rewards

The Lord told him to build Him a house in J erusalem
And Cyrus recruited people of Judalato help him
Ezra lists the names and the number recruited
And the money and provisions Cyrus provided

Arriving in Jerusalem they first set the altar
Offering sacrifices to God to be their helper
In the 2nd year the foundation was laid
Shouts of joy and weeping were made

When the Israel people were not included
They hindered the Work and trouble exploded
When the history of Jerusalem was read to the King
The Work was quickly stopped for the time being

With further investigation the Work was continued
And without further delay the Temple was finished
When Ezra, a priest, heard it was completed
He Went to Jerusalem God’s Word to preach

Under Ezra’s guidance things were made right
For many were idolaters, married to strange wives
Many of the priests had gone the same way
But with Ezra’s teaching they put them away
