Habakkuk

Habakkuk talks to God about his “burden”
God’s punishment for Judah is so certain
But seemingly for other nations uncertain
God says He understands what Habakkuk is saying

Be assured God knows the “game” He is playing

Habakkuk speaks about their enemies’ resources
Their judgment, dignity, speed of their horses
How dreadful and terrible are their forces

Scoff at Kings destroy strong holds by dusting

The Lord replies that victory lies with one’s faith
Time is important but patience is what it takes
God gives four woes for Habakkuk to consider

How “self-destruction” can be more bitter

Habakkuk concludes having learned his lesson
The Lord is my strength and my salvation
He will make me Walk in high places
To God, my chief singer, I sing His praises
