Haggai

A remnant of Judah had returned from captivity
And laid the Temple’s foundation with activity
The work soon stopped for personal interests
Cciled houses, food, drink & personal preferences

I lztggai challenged their actions, letting God’s house wait
lfor their own comfort to let the Temple become waste
They soon noticed things were not working out
The rains and the dew had stopped for their crops

'I`hc Lord told them they should consider their ways
Thcy had their houses while His was still waste
With fear they listened to God’s voice
And made God’s house their first choice

(iod encouraged them saying, “I’ll be with you
/\nd the heavens will again give rain & the dew”
Together this Temple will be greater than the lst
With that the people went straight to work
