Isaiah

Isaiah is known as the Messianic Prophet
Often called on by Christ’s apostles
He prophesied during the Divided Kingdom
Working with Judah to keep God with them

Israel had gone after idolatrous rites
Isaiah pleads with Judah to do what was right
Quickly he reminds them the Messiah is coming
They need repentance and a life that’s becoming

Isaiah says the future is not looking bright
Because even the Priests and Rulers are not doing right
But he is encouraged by a vision of God’s glory
Christ’s birth and his Kingdom was the story

The punishment of Judah’s many enemies are described
God’s righteousness and expectation will not be denied
Even Jerusalem whose sins were almost criminal
Will be dismantled and left in shambles

But God’s faithfulness continues to be seen
Not only the Jew but the Gentile God will claim
God spares nothing to show His love to the world
Giving His only Son a sacrifice so undeserved

Isaiah Ch. 53 the humiliation and suffering of Christ
That the Church might be faithful in doing right
Salvation is made available to all who believe in Him
Those who refuse such love will be condemned

Christ is made the head and savior of the church
Even a remnant of Israel will be preserved
The Church is even called the New Jerusalem
So that in Christ all men can become one
