Job

Job was a godly man and a man of means
But Satan’s forces wiped him out clean
Satan and God had a plain talk
Satan argued without God Job would balk

Job had already suffered a great loss
But refused to blame God for what he had lost
Satan countered, “Touch his bone and his flesh
And] ob will curse you to your face

God said, “Go, he is in your hands
Do unto him whatever you can”
Job was afflicted with sores, head to toe
But was faithful to God who said, “Told you sol”

Even J ob’s wife so moved by his plight
Challenged him to “curse God and die”
His three friends visited and together they mourned
Job would only curse the day he was born

Job in time Wishes for death
Describing what he had to deal with
Still he contends there is a just reason
l’ll serve God ‘till I quit breathing

His friends continue to argue with him
But job replies What’s happening is not my sin
The discussion goes on for several more chapters
With Job saying, “God is my benefactor”

God accepts Job and doubles his blessings
