Matthew Chapter  Twelve

Trouble continues from the Pharisees about the Law

Accusing Jesus and the disciples without cause.

They were seen gathering corn on the Sabbath day

The Law says that was unlawful for one to behave.

Jesus responded by challenging them

About David entering God's house and them with him.

And eating the showbread reserved for the Priests

What do you have to say about that case?

And more, by the Priests the Sabbath is profaned

Then to say they are not to be blamed?

If you realize this is greater than the temple

You would not accuse us of being so guilty.

The Son of man is Lord over the Sabbath.

I will have mercy and not just sacrifice.

With that Jesus went into the Synagogue,

And met a man with a hand like a claw.

His accusers wondered what Christ would say.

Would He be unlawful and heal on the Sabbath day?
Jesus asked them, "If you sheep fell into a pit,

Would you on the Sabbath lift him out of it?"

The Pharisees held a council to destroy Him.

Jesus left and a multitude followed Him.

The sick among them, He healed them all

Another prophecy they would do well to recall.

A man was brought possessed with a devil.

He was blind and could speak only with a quibble

Christ healed him and he could speak and see.

The people said, "This is amazing!"

They asked, "is not this the son of David?"

The Pharisees said it was the Devil that did it.

Jesus responded, "then, the Devil is divided.

A Kingdom divided cannot survive it."

Either make the tree and it's fruit good

Or neither will be any good.

For the tree is know by it's fruit,

So, between you and me, men will choose.....

After further discussion the subject was Clear.

Someone said, "Your mother is here."

He pointed to His disciple standing there still

My mother and family are those who follow God's will.
