Jesus describes several situations

Illustrating the points He was making

"The last shall be first and the first last"

When life's final lot is cast.

Going to Jerusalem He told His disciples in private

He would soon be betrayed and crucified

After three days in the grave, then

He would rise and be with them again.

​

A mother of 2 sons asked a favor for them

In heaven, could they sit on each side of Him?

He answered, "You don't know what you request.

Can they suffer what I'm to go thru with?"

​

When the 10 disciples heard this of their 2 brethren,

They were filled with indignation

Jesus said, "It is not for me to grant.

The deserving among you must be your servant."

​

As they left Jericho there were 2 men blind

They cried out for mercy: "Heal our eyes!"

The multitude responded, "Hold your peace!"

But when Jesus touched them they could see.
