The book of Nahum records the “burden” of Nineveh
For God is a jealous God and hates evil
Though slow to anger will not acquit the wicked
God is God and will have His way in all conditions

I lc is giving Nineveh ample warning to remove her images
And she will not suffer the coming blemishes
But she must renew her vows and feasts
Her adversaries will pass and she will have peace

The fate of Nineveh is pretty much sealed
By God’s army that Nahum reveals
His chariots shall rage in the streets
And shall run like lightening streaks

Nineveh is old like a pool of stagnant water
The rivers are open but the city won’t bother
The palace will be riddled the contents carted
The “bloody city” is full of lies and robbery

“I am against thee saith the Lord of Hosts”
Because of your wickedness and that’s no “joke”
Fortify and justify but there’s no healing
Your power, riches and glory will go down reeling
