Proverbs

Proverbs, another book of Poems
Most attributed to be written by Solomon
Dealing with the ups and downs of every day life
Advice about handling challenges and strife

We may read them today for their worth
For Solomon was the wisest on earth
With his experience and God’s help
He is able to help without taking man’s wealth

In Proverbs he deals with all kinds of problems
But it would require that one follow them
Wisdom and good judgment is always the base
Without which no problem can be erased

Exhortation for obedience, trust and patience
Without which all effort would be baseless
Wisdom can be learned from those around us
The wise, the stupid, our parents who found us

ln chapter six there are seven things God hates
And gives advice about the selection of mates
With chapter 10 he deals with moral issues and more
And continues to the end of chapter twenty four

Proverbs talks about busybodies and quarrels
Fools and sluggards and those that retard
The care of children and household affairs
Things that bring peace and happiness to bear

Yes, wisdom is the law of kindness
To study it is to achieve refinement
Proverbs closes about a virtuous woman
Price above rubies and should be quite common
