Zephaniah a prophet for the Southern Kingdom
Who had compromised God with nations around them
God tells Zephaniah, Judah and Israel had made it “tuff"
And the time had come He has had e-enough!

It is time for Judah and others to give an account
And be made to realize how it all came about
God had blessed them with long, long suffering
It’s time to realize the need for recovering

 

The “great day of the Lord is near, is near,
Gather yourselves together----nation undesired”
Gaza will be forsaken and Ashkelon a desolation
Woe to Kerethites, Canaanites for their misbehaving

Be aware the Lord is in the midst of all this
And knows “lst. Hand” the cause of this crisis
He predicts there will be a turn about
  And His people will return Without a doubt

With this in mind God makes a promise
Jerusalem will have a name of prominence
In every land she will have praise and fame
In every land where they have been put to shame
