  • Commentary by Frederick Louis Godet - Converted from the e-Sword Version.  However, it has some obvious errors with the display of the Greek words.  So, I will try to correct this in the new year.  I have included the .TXT File in case someone else wants to  work with it.  This TXT file compiled by FORGE is created by the Simple Bible Reader.  This Module  includes good Commentary on the Books of Luke, John, Romans and 1st Corinthians.  This Module Posted on 12/21/2022.
TAB: "Godet" -- ZIP Fie: 5.9 MB -- unZIP: 11.4 MB.

  • Daniel Whedon's Bible Commentary -- I believe that that Spurgeon and his contemporaries liked Whedon's Commentary better than Clarke's. This was converted from the e-Sword Version.  Unfortunaely, the e-Sword Version has Images as well as Hebrew and Greek Words, all of which could not be inserted into the TXT for use with FORGE.  This then may have some strange characters here and there but the text is still readable.  Sometime in the New Year I will redo this and remove all of the gobble-de-gook.  It is easy, but takes some time.  Just won't have the time to do this until next year.  In the meantime, I have included the TXT used with FORGE to compile this module.  Until next year I hope that anyone tinkering with this TXT file has fun.  This is a large module. TXT File is 31 MB. Module is 24 MB. ---TAB: "Whedon" --- Zip File:   38.5 MB -- unZIPped: 55.4 MB.

  • The Bible of the Expositor and the Evangelist by William Bell Riley (1861-1947) A thorough and Great Expository Commentary on the Bible.  Riley was called the "The Grand Old Man of Fundamentalism." Riley is credited with coining the term “fundamentalist,” and believed in the literal interpretation of the Bible wherever possible. He believed in a literal 6 day creation, that heaven and hell literally exist, that the miracles in the Old and New Testaments literally happened, and that Revelation and applicable portions of OT prophecy will literally happen. Riley's rigid, conservative approach to Scripture earned him accolades from allies and criticism from opponents. His critics complained that his rigid beliefs contributed to the religious polarization of American society. His allies appreciated his opposition to modernism. Riley vehemently opposed evolution, which he called the “propaganda of infidelity, palmed off in the name of science.” Riley began preaching through the entire Bible in 1923 and it took him over 10 years.   This module was converted from the IPAD Version for the e-Sword  Bible Program by Rick Meyers.
TAB: "RileyExEv" --- ZIP File:  6.1 MB --- unZIPped File: 11.5 MB.

  • "Thru The Bible Commentary" by Chuck Smith.  This is a complete Commentary of the Bible by the founder of the Calvary Chapel Movement.  He was involved with some Charismatic preachers during the early days of the Jesus movement.  I am Not saying that I agree with everything it contains, but what I read in the Old Testament seems pretty Biblical, not sure about the New  Testament.  All I had to work with was the .TXT file in Forge.  The Text File had a lot of punctuation errors, most of which I removed (I hope....!)  This was converted from the e-Sword format for the IPAD.  It was left as "user-editable" because the font size may not be just right, so if you want to go through this and make it more pleasant to the eyes, it's all yours!  TAB: 'ThruBible' --- ZIP: 6.52 MB --- unZIPped: 7.83 MB

  • Dr. William Evans Commentary on the Five Books of the Pentateuch - Evans was a very prolific writer in his day, having written over 50 books.  Toward the end of the 19th century he emigrated to this country from England.  He was the first graduate of the Moody Bible Institute in 1892.  TAB: 'WmEPenta' --- ZIP File: 492 kb

  • Gary Everett's Bible Commentary (64 Volumes) This popular commentary on the Bible was converted from the e-Sword Version.  .TXT file used with 'FORGE' is included in the ZIP File.  I must point out one thing:  The Hebrew words in the Old Testament portion will show up as a mumbo jumbo mixture of letters and characters.  This module was compiled as a user-editable commentary so that a user can correct this.  In spite of that, this is an awesome Commentary for SwordSearcher!  TAB: 'GEBC' - ZIPped File Size: 13.7 MB

  • Bob Utley - "You Can Understand The Bible" - Commentary on the entire Bible.  Just created this by converting the .CMTI (Ipad) Version to a simple .TXT File for use with the SwordSearcher Utility "FORGE."   FORGE compiled this Commentary Module without any Error Messages.  Spent some time removing some of the formatting problems in the text, which meant I had to re-compile the module until it was "suitable" enough to Post on here for downloading.  I comipiled this and told FORGE to make it a user-editable Commentary.  That way it will be easier to simply edit any errors without having to re-compile the module.  Plus, this allows a SS user to add "Improved" and "Scriptural" content and sorta "TWEAK" the module for a more personalized  use.  This SwordSearcher Commentary may still have a few minor text errors which are easy to correct if you have the .TXT File--- then you can re-compile using the FORGE Utility for SwordSearcher.  Last updated: 10/20/2022.
The Download (See Link above) includes the .TXT File for use with FORGE, plus the latest version of the Bob Utley Bible Commentary.

Module .TXT  File Size is about 26 MB

  • Guzik Bible Commentary and Notes by David Guzik - This Sword Searcher Commentary Module was created by the Simple Bible Reader Utility which converted the  e-Sword file from biblesupport.com into a .txt file for use with the "Forge " Utility for Sword Searcher.  I chose to use Forge to compile this module into a user-editable commentary without any errors.  It contains complete commentary and outlines by David Guzik.  All Commentary is found in the first verse of every chapter of the Bible.  I must say that it looks pretty good in Sword Searcher.  I purposefully created it as a user-editable module in case someone wants to format the text, or add new commentary.  ZIP File is 1.6 MB in size.

The design of the author has been, in a connected way, to trace the features of the Gospel, and the method of salvation in Christ Jesus, as given in the ancient rites fifteen hundred years before the Savior came; and thus to develop not only an interesting illustration of the plan of grace from figures of God's own choosing, but also an argument for the inspiration of the Scriptures and the Divinity of the Christian system.  Tab Name: "HolyTypes" -- ZIP: 411kb -- unZIPped: 769kb

  • Commentary on PSALMS by F.B. Meyer (1848-1929)These gripping studies provide unusually fine sermon outline material as well. F. B. Meyer was born into a wealthy Christian home in London on April 8, 1847. As a youth, he often conducted Sunday evening services in the dining room before the children were old enough to attend evening public worship. In this way he developed preaching ability very early in life. Ordained into the Baptist ministry, he pastored many influential British churches. He introduced D. L. Moody to Great Britain; they were fast friends. After fifteen years in the pastorate, he began a worldwide ministry of preaching. At the age of eighty he made his twelfth preaching tour of America, preaching almost every night on a 15,000 mile tour. He went home to be with the Lord on March 28, 1929. He authored forty books, besides numerous tracts and articles. Some of the best known are The Obedience of Faith, Tried By Fire, The Way Into the Holiness, and Christ In Isaiah.

Considering there are well over 2,000 outlines on his site, this book of outlines on Matthew is a good start. Mark and I
are about the same age. We preach for the same church and have a lot in common.   Approx. File Size: 1 MB
