  • QUOTES - Quteable Wisdom from A.Z. Tozer, D.L. Moody and many others who are not Bible scholars.  These quotes from across the spectrum of Christianity are good for three areas: (1)church bulletins, (2)church signs, and (3)sermons/illustrations.  This module is a work in progress.  As of 2/18/21 it contains "hundreds" of quotations, but will grow to contain much more as I plan to update it on a weekly basis, so check back for the latest update.  TAB: "QUOTES" - ZIPped: 521kb - unZIPped: 896kb.

  • How To Enjoy The Bible by E.W. Bullinger - This work contends that the Bible is its own best proof of its inspiration. It claims to be "the Word of God"; and if it be not what it claims to be, then it is not only not a "good book," but is unworthy of our further attention.   Those who, accept the claims of the Scriptures as being the Word of God, desire to study it so as to understand it and enjoy it.  This module will help reinforce that effort to "Enjoy God's Word."

  • Works of William Bell Riley (1861-1947) Fundamentalist Baptist who worked to keep Theological Liberalism out of the Baptist Church.  While his works are denominational, there is some educational merit to his writings.  This module is a small sample of his publications.  This module contains the following items:

1. Christ the Incomparable (Book)
2. Divine Healing (pamphlet)
3. Pastoral Problems (Book)
4. Seven New Testament Soul-Winners (Book)
5. The Preacher and His Preaching (Book)

  • Harmony of the Gospels - Based on material from the Blue Letter Bible

  • The Gospel in Leviticus by Joseph A. Seiss - This memorable work is different from another work by Henry Law, which has the same title.

  • The Gospel in Leviticus by Henry Law - Typology: Leviticus is Calvary fore-shown. Calvary is Leviticus unfolded.

  • The 400 Silent Years by Harry Ironside - This book (module) covers that period of Time between Malachi and the book of Matthew.

  • Hymns of Isaac Watts - Watts' most published book was his Psalms of David, first published in 1719. In his poetic paraphrases of the psalms, Watts adapted the psalms for use by the Church and made David speak "the language of a Christian." Examples of Watts' method can be seen in his paraphrases of Psalm 72 into the hymn "Jesus Shall Reign Wher'er the Sun," Psalm 90 into "O God, Our Help in Ages Past," and Psalm 98 into "Joy to the World."  Benjamin Franklin first published Watts' psalm paraphrases in America in 1729. Franklin was not the only American publisher to take an interest in Watt's hymns. In Boston his hymns were published in 1739. They were well-loved by Americans of the Revolutionary period.  Besides over 600 hymns, Watts published 52 other works, including a book of logic used in the universities, books on grammar, pedagogy, ethics, psychology, astronomy, geography, three volumes of sermons, and 29 treatises on theology. After his death on November 25, 1748, a monument to Watts was erected in Westminster Abbey.

  • The Bible Book by Book (c)1916 by J.B. Tidwell - Professor of Biblical Literature at Baylor University.  This Book was designed to give Bible students with an outline which will make it possible for them to achieve familiarity with the Bible.  This is  classic for all serious students of God's Word.

  • The Bible Period by Period by J.B. Tidwell - This book is basically a sequel or companion book to Tidwell's book "The Bible Book by Book."  Tidwell attempts to illustrate that Bible History can be divided into 21 separate distinct periods of time.

  • Notes From The Margin of Ironside's Bible -  Ironside’s Bible: Notes and Quotes from the Margins of his Bible. Tab Name is: 'IronNotes" Contains Ironside's Notes for Genesis thru Revelation. A few moments of browsing through his Bible will quickly reveal Dr. Henry A Ironside’s devotional love for the Book, also his method of expounding it. He was probably the most famous exponent of verse-by-verse exposition of our generation.  Dr. Ironside’s manner of marking the Bible is a fascinating study in itself. In fact, all flyleaves are actually covered with sayings, poems, diagrams, illustrations, epitaphs, and even Chinese characters, which he studied for recreation. Here and there, he has noted some of the great themes of the Bible, which signified the power and effectiveness of his preaching. But perhaps the richest of the treasure is the reading of his choice comments scattered over some fifteen hundred pages of Scripture, as written by him in the margins. This volume contains selections from the many 12 marginal notes found in each of the Books of the great expositor’s old Bible. If the reader will fit these notes with chapter and verse, he will find the map leading to buried treasure.

  • The Bible In Pictures and Symbols -- (c)1904 by Frank Beard.  This public domain work was copyrighted in 1904 by Frank Beard.  It contains over  175 images.  Rebuses are picture puzzles. In this book, stories from both the Old and New Testaments are brought to life in a series of rebuses that make a superb introduction to the teachings of the Bible.  Symbols associated with important Biblical passages are joined by illustrations of the most famous stories.  Beautifully ornamented pages illustrate God's creation of Earth; the flood, Noah's Ark, and the rainbow of promise; Joseph and his coat of many colors; David's battle against Goliath; Daniel in the lions' den; and the birth of Jesus. Also presented in this unique format are the best-loved proverbs, parables, and psalms. Both children and adults will enjoy puzzling over the meanings of the symbols and artwork that provide stimulation for continued study of the Scriptures. There are also quizzes that families will enjoy answering together.  his striking visual presentation of Old and New Testament stories makes THE BIBLE THROUGH PICTURES a unique volume for the family bookshelf.

  • Companion to the Bible by Elijah Porter Barrows - (c)1867 This book is one of the best reads for those who are interested in the Formation and Canon of the Old and New Testaments.  In print form, this Public Domain Work is in the neighborhood of 600 pages.  What I enjoyed about this book is that it is informative, interesting, and the author doesn't speak "above our heads" in the text of this excellent book.  Barrows graduated from Yale in 1826, and, after teaching school for five years at Hartford, was ordained in 1832. In 1835, he declined a position at Oberlin College,[2] choosing instead to become pastor of the first free Presbyterian Church in New York City. Here Barrows remained until 1837, when he accepted the professorship of sacred literature in Western Reserve College (1837–52). In 1853, he was appointed professor of Hebrew language and literature in Andover Theological Seminary, retaining the office until 1866. In 1858, Barrows' D.D. was awarded by Dartmouth College.[2] In 1872, he accepted a like appointment at the Oberlin Theological Seminary. Besides twenty-five articles in the Bibliotheca Sacra, Barrows has published A Memoir of Evertin Judson (1852); Companion to the Bible (1869); and Sacred Geography and Antiquities (1872). He has also been one of the editors of the American Tract Society's Bible with Notes. Barrows wrote the hymn "Hallelujah, Christ is mine", which has been translated into several languages.  Below is a listing of the Table of Contents of this fine book:
